Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst, released by Lattafa Perfumes in 2021 and worn by anyone, is a rich rose over oud. Everyone describes it as floral; spicy, gourmand, woody, amber and citrus facets are each noted by a third.
The opening is short and bright, with bergamot giving a clean citrus lift and pink pepper a gentle, rosy tingle. The heart is where the fragrance lives: Turkish and Bulgarian rose together give a deep, jammy, slightly spicy rose, and jasmine adds a creamy, heady sweetness alongside it. The base is warm and resinous, as agarwood brings a dark, smoky, slightly medicinal wood, vanilla a soft sweetness and amber a glowing warmth that carries the rose for hours.
Most wearers find it long lasting, and nearly a third call it eternal; the trail is strong, sometimes enormous. It is voted for winter and autumn, and strongly for night. It suits cold evenings and occasions, for anyone who likes a bold rose with real oud underneath, applied sparingly.
