It opens directly on agarwood and woodsy notes, a dry, resinous, slightly medicinal wood that announces itself at once. The heart softens this considerably: sugar and vanilla pour a thick, caramel-like sweetness over the wood, which is where the gourmand character comes from. The base brings sandalwood for a creamy, smooth woodiness, a second helping of oud for depth and herbal notes that add a faintly green, aromatic edge to the finish.
