Hot Splash

Hot Splash is a spiced citrus floral from the French house L'Atelier Parfum, composed by Karine Vinchon Spehner and released in 2023. Floral is the word everyone uses for it, and about half also find it spicy, green, woody, aromatic or citrusy.

The top combines lemon tree, a leafy, slightly bitter citrus note, with petitgrain for a green, twiggy freshness and ginger for a warm, tingling spice that gives the opening its energy. The heart turns floral: orange blossom brings a honeyed, slightly green brightness, ylang-ylang a creamy, heady sweetness, and lavender a clean, herbal calm. The base is simple and warm, with vetiver adding a rooty, smoky woodiness and labdanum a soft, resinous amber that gives the scent its staying power.
