The opening is unusual: leather and aldehydes together, a dry, suede-like note under a bright, powdery sparkle. The heart is a grand floral, tuberose and rose at its centre, orange blossom for sweetness, iris for cool powder and immortelle for a curious maple-and-hay warmth. The base of labdanum, resins and vanilla is warm, powdery and ambery, and lasts longest.
Wearers split between moderate and long lasting on longevity, and the sillage is moderate for nearly half and strong for a third. Autumn and winter take the seasonal votes and it divides evenly between night and day. It suits cold weather, dressed-up evenings and anyone who likes powder and resin with their flowers.
