Mademoiselle

Mademoiselle from the French house Jacadi is a soft, sweet fragrance released in 2015 for women. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand, and about half also find it musky, floral, citrusy and even a little leathery.

It opens with nectarine and orange, a juicy, sunny fruit pairing that gives the first minutes their brightness. The heart moves to honeysuckle and rose, two gentle flowers with a nectar-like sweetness, so the fruit flows into the floral stage without a jolt. The base is vanilla and musk, warm, cushioned and clean, which is where the gourmand impression settles in: sweet in a comforting way rather than a rich or sticky one.

Longevity and sillage have not been reported in enough numbers to generalise. The structure suggests an easy daytime scent for spring and summer, light enough for school or work, for someone who likes fruit and vanilla kept simple and tidy.
