Marechiaro

Marechiaro is a salty amber from the Italian house iPiccirilli, composed by Sofia Bardelli and released in 2025 and named after a seaside spot near Naples. People describe it as fresh and ambery in equal measure, about two thirds also find it floral, and a third woody.

Sea water, salt and aquatic notes give it a clean, briny, mineral freshness that recalls skin after a swim rather than a sharp marine cologne. Rose and soft floral notes add a gentle, slightly sweet petal quality in the middle, keeping the scent from feeling cold. The base is warm and smooth: sandalwood for creaminess, amberwood for a dry, radiant woodiness, and white amber for a soft, luminous warmth that lingers long after the salt has settled.

Marechiaro is worn by anyone. The combination of sea freshness and warm amber suits summer evenings and holidays especially, and it should appeal to someone who likes aquatic scents but wants them softer and more enveloping.
