Lychee, bergamot and orange open it with a juicy, slightly tart brightness. The heart is the rich part: rose and carnation together, the carnation adding its clove-like warmth, with iris and violet bringing a soft, cosmetic powderiness. Caraway and cinnamon weave through the flowers and give them a dry, warm spice. The base is woody and smooth, with guaiac wood adding a faintly smoky sweetness, sandalwood and vetiver a dry depth, and vanilla and musk rounding off the finish.
It feels like a scent for cooler months and evenings, with an old-fashioned elegance rather than a modern freshness. Those who like powdery roses with a spicy twist will find it rewarding.
