Divine Perversion by the Dutch house Hedonik, composed by Francesca Bianchi and released in 2021, is a sweet, animalic rose. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand and floral; about half also find it spicy, woody, ambery and leathery.
Raspberry and pink pepper open it with a tart, peppery fruitiness. The heart pairs rose with iris, so the floral reads both lush and powdery, and caramel adds a sticky, burnt-sugar sweetness that pushes it towards the gourmand. What makes it distinctive is the base: leather and animal notes bring a warm, musky, slightly dirty quality, amber adds a resinous glow and woody notes give it a dry floor, so the sweetness is always shadowed by something skin-like and carnal.
