Pink Retreat from Hawaiian Tropic is a sweet, fruity floral released in 2017 and worn by anyone. Everyone who has described it finds it gourmand, musky, floral and citrusy in equal measure.
Five notes are listed, without a pyramid. Orange gives a juicy, sunny citrus brightness at the start. Guava brings a tropical, slightly musky sweetness that is the clearest source of the gourmand impression here, more ripe fruit than cake. Freesia and cyclamen form a light, fresh, slightly peppery floral heart, airy rather than heady. Musk sits underneath, soft and clean, which is what makes the whole thing feel smooth and wearable rather than sharp.
