The opening is blackcurrant alone, tart, slightly green and jammy at the same time, and it stays audible for a long while. The heart is light and airy, with May rose adding a fresh, dewy rosiness and freesia a clean, peppery floral note. The base is where the gourmand and woody sides meet: vanilla brings a smooth sweetness, patchouli an earthy depth, woody notes a dry backbone and ambroxan a clean, mineral warmth that helps it project.
