Giapeto is a spicy, woody fragrance from the Italian house Giardino Benessere, composed by Paolo Terenzi and released in 2022. Spice and wood lead equally, with a strong amber side and lighter sweet, floral and resinous touches. It is worn by anyone.
Guatemalan cardamom and saffron open with a warm, aromatic spice, and cumin adds a dry, savoury, slightly skin-like edge. Lily of the valley brings a surprising fresh floral lift in the heart. The base is deep and resinous: agarwood, or oud, gives a dark, smoky woodiness, gurjun balsam and labdanum a sticky, balsamic warmth, cedar a dry structure, and vanilla a creamy sweetness.
Its spiced oud-and-amber profile suits autumn and winter, evenings and formal or special occasions. It should appeal to someone who enjoys rich, spiced woody ambers with oud, rather than light, fresh or fruity fragrances, and who wants a scent with real depth.
