Exotic Rose by French Avenue, released in 2023, is a spicy rose made to be worn by anyone. Spicy is the word everyone uses, and about half also call it woody or floral.
The composition is built on four notes. Pepper and saffron set the tone: pepper brings heat and dryness, saffron a leathery, slightly bitter, golden spice that is a classic partner for rose. Rose itself is the heart, full and rich rather than dewy. Patchouli closes it out with an earthy, dark woodiness that grounds the spice and gives the drydown its weight.
