It opens on caramel with orange and raspberry, a sweet, fruity and slightly jammy start. The heart is a full floral of rose, jasmine and violet, with patchouli adding earthiness and incense a dry, smoky thread that keeps the sweetness in check. The base is vanilla with woody notes, musk and spices, warm and lingering, and this is where it spends most of its life.
Most wearers call it long lasting and about a quarter say it is eternal; over half report strong projection, so it fills a room. It is voted for winter and autumn and mainly for the evening. For the money it offers a lot of presence, and it suits cold nights and anyone who likes a sweet, spiced vanilla that does not fade quickly.
