Jermyn Street

Jermyn Street is a woody vetiver from Floris, released in 2015 and worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, about half add citrus, and a minority find it spicy, musky, floral or amber, which fits a dry, well-tailored scent built around one material.

Vetiver runs through all three stages. At the top it meets bergamot and mandarin orange for a bright citrus lift, and violet for a cool, slightly powdery floral accent. The heart adds coriander for a dry, lemony spice, juniper berries for a gin-like crispness, and artemisia for a bitter, herbal green note, while the vetiver itself brings its smoky, grassy, rooty character. The base of cedar, musk and amber is dry wood softened by a clean, warm finish.

Wear reports are still scarce. Its character suits daytime and most of the year, and it fits someone who wants a classic British style of woody scent, crisp and understated rather than sweet or loud.
