Don't Get Me Wrong Baby, YES I DO by Etat Libre d'Orange is a light, clean floral for women, released in 2016. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, about half also find it gourmand, and a quarter mention woody, musky and fresh facets, so it is a soft bouquet with a faint sweetness rather than a rich one.
Aldehydes, pear and lily of the valley open it, sparkling and dewy, with the pear adding a crisp, watery sweetness. The heart is a white-flower trio of orange blossom, jasmine and peony, fresh and petal-like rather than heavy. The base turns gently gourmand: cocoa brings a dry, powdery sweetness, musk keeps it skin-like and cedar adds a touch of clean wood.
About half of wearers report moderate longevity and nearly a third find it weak, so it is not a scent that lasts into the evening. Sillage is intimate for half and moderate for most others. It is voted mostly for spring, then summer, and almost entirely for daytime, which suits a fresh, close-wearing floral for warm, bright days.
