It opens bright and slightly bitter: citrus, bergamot and lemon verbena for freshness, petitgrain for a green, twiggy orange-tree note, and tarragon for an herbal, aniseed edge. The heart is neroli and orange blossom, clean and honeyed, with Egyptian pelargonium adding a rosy, leafy greenness. The base is cedar and white musk for a dry, clean finish, and beeswax, which gives a soft, waxy warmth some people read as leathery.
