Delphinus from Creed, released in 2024, is a sweet, spicy scent with a soft floral centre and a warm amber base. Most people describe it first as gourmand, then as spicy, floral and amber, with musky and leathery touches in the background.
The opening pairs almond with black and pink pepper and a thread of incense, so the first minutes are nutty and peppery with a faint smokiness. The heart turns powdery and soft: heliotrope adds an almond-like sweetness, orris brings a cool, powdery quality and orchid keeps it floral. The base is where the warmth lives, with bourbon vanilla and tonka bean for sweetness, patchouli and amberwood for depth, and a touch of leather to keep it from becoming dessert-like.
