Wish Pink Diamond

Wish Pink Diamond is a fruity floral from the Swiss house Chopard, created by Alexandra Jouet in 2005. Everyone calls it floral, about half also find it gourmand, and a quarter pick out its woody, musky, amber or citrus sides.

Pear, apricot and mandarin orange give it a juicy, slightly sweet fruitiness that sits right alongside the flowers. Osmanthus is the most distinctive of these: a small blossom that itself smells of apricot and soft suede, so it bridges fruit and petal neatly. Freesia and neroli keep the floral side light and fresh, rose adds a gentle classical sweetness, and the whole thing rests on sandalwood, musk and amber, which supply a smooth, warm, slightly creamy finish.

Pretty rather than dramatic, this is a feminine scent for someone who wants something cheerful and approachable, the sort of fruity floral that works well for daytime wear without demanding attention.
