Cacharel pour L'Homme, released by Cacharel in 1981 and composed by Gerard Goupy, is presented as masculine and is mainly floral, with a strong woody side and smaller green, spicy, aromatic and citrus touches.
The top notes are aromatic and bright: lavender and clary sage give a herbal freshness, and nutmeg a warm, slightly woody spice. The heart is unusually floral for a masculine scent of its era: carnation brings a clove-like spice, geranium a green, rosy note and ylang-ylang a creamy softness. The base is classic and woody: oakmoss gives a damp, mossy depth, fir a resinous greenness and vetiver a smooth, earthy structure.
