Beso de Luna, a 2023 fragrance from Beso Beach Perfumes created by Carlos Benaïm, combines wood, flowers and citrus in equal measure, with spice, musk and amber in a supporting role.
Lemon and bergamot open it with a clean, zesty brightness, and pink pepper adds a light, rosy sparkle of spice. The floral heart pairs rose, giving a fresh petal quality, with magnolia, which brings a creamy, slightly citrusy floral note. As it dries down, the woods take over: patchouli adds an earthy depth, while Cashmeran and Amberwood, two modern materials, give a soft, musky woodiness and a warm, ambery radiance. Musk adds a smooth, clean finish.
The name points to evening, and the woodier base does suit night-time, dinners and summer evenings, while the citrus keeps it light enough for daytime too. It carries no gender framing and is meant for anyone who enjoys polished, modern woody florals.
