Majestic Cashmere

Majestic Cashmere by Bentley, composed by Julie Massé and released in 2019, is a soft, musky woody fragrance. Everyone who describes it says woody; under half add musky, and a minority find it sweet, floral or resinous.

The notes come as one list and concentrate on the base. Cashmere wood gives the central impression: smooth, warm, slightly musky wood with a velvety texture. Orris root adds a cool, powdery, faintly floral note that lends elegance. Ambrette and musk bring a soft, skin-like muskiness, ambrette with a slightly vegetal edge. Bourbon vetiver and vetiver add a dry, smoky, earthy counterpoint, patchouli deepens it, labdanum brings a warm, ambery resin, and tonka bean a light, almond-like sweetness.

It is worn by anyone. Community reports on longevity and sillage have not yet been gathered. The plush, low-key character suits autumn and winter and close settings, and someone who prefers quiet, well-tailored woods to anything loud or sweet.
