Tubéreuse Impériale, released by BDK Parfums in 2016 and composed by Cécile Matton, is a rich tuberose floral. Florals lead, woods are strong, and sweet, resinous and amber notes add touches.
The opening is green and slightly rosy: rosebay willowherb gives a fresh, herbal floral note and geranium a rosy, minty edge. The heart is a lush white-flower bouquet, with Indian tuberose bringing a creamy, buttery richness, Egyptian jasmine and jasmine sambac a radiant glow, iris a powdery coolness and ylang-ylang a sunny warmth. The base is cypress, benzoin, sandalwood, cashmeran, incense, Madagascar vanilla and Singapore patchouli, a resinous, creamy and earthy finish.
Wearers split between moderate and long lasting performance, with a moderate sillage. Votes are spread across autumn and spring, and it is mostly worn by day. It suits weddings, formal events and office days, and it is worn by anyone who loves tuberose with a resinous, smoky depth.
