Odyssey Mandarin Sky is a 2023 men's fragrance from Armaf that is sweet, woody and citrusy in equal measure, with about half of wearers also finding it spicy, aromatic and ambery.
Mandarin and orange open it with a juicy brightness, but sage and saffron are right behind them, adding a herbal, slightly leathery warmth. The heart is where the sweetness arrives: caramel and tonka bean give a thick, almost buttery sugariness, while marigold adds a slightly bitter, honeyed floral note. The base is dry woods, cedar and vetiver, over ambroxan, a smooth, mineral amber material that gives the drydown reach and persistence.
Most people find it long lasting or at least moderate, with moderate to strong sillage. Votes are evenly split between autumn and winter and almost evenly between night and day. It suits men who like sweet citrus with a woody backbone and want it to last through an evening.
