Mousuf Daisy from Ard Al Zaafaran is a sweet, fruity floral for women. Everyone who has described it calls it gourmand, and about half also find it spicy, woody, musky, floral and ambery.
It opens with pink pepper and blueberry: a tingling, rosy spice over a dark, jammy fruit. The heart pairs jasmine with daisy, jasmine giving a warm white-floral richness and daisy a lighter, greener, slightly honeyed freshness. The base of vanilla, amber, musk and cedar is warm and sweet, with cedar adding a dry, pencil-like woodiness that keeps the vanilla from becoming heavy.
Longevity and sillage have not yet been reported. A blueberry and vanilla floral of this kind suits autumn and winter evenings as well as mild spring days, and would appeal to someone who likes sweet fruity florals with a little spice and wood. It is sold in a 100 ml bottle.
