Fakhar Al Oud

Fakhar Al Oud, from Ard Al Zaafaran in 2021, is a woody fragrance with a strong amber glow, backed by spice, a gourmand sweetness and softer musky and floral touches. It is made for anyone.

Nutmeg and saffron give the opening a warm, leathery spice, while a little jasmine softens the start with a floral glow. At the centre is agarwood, or oud, dark and resinous, supported by cedar and sandalwood, which bring dry and creamy woods in turn. A balsamic, slightly earthy depth runs beneath, and patchouli gives grounding. The base is sweeter and softer, with vanilla, tonka bean and amber rounding it into a warm, smooth finish.
