Aroosat Al Emarat by Ard Al Zaafaran is sweet, woody and floral in equal measure: everyone who describes it mentions all three, about two thirds also find it citrusy, and a third musky. It is worn by anyone.
Bergamot and orange give a bright, juicy opening. Rose and jasmine form a full, sweet floral heart, with iris adding a soft, powdery texture. Then the sweetness builds: caramel and vanilla bring a thick, warm gourmand depth, tonka bean adds a nutty smoothness. Underneath, agarwood and patchouli provide dry, resinous, earthy wood, vetiver adds a smoky dryness, and musk ties the finish together.
The combination of caramel, rose and oud suits evenings and cooler months, and occasions where a rich, noticeable scent is welcome. It should appeal to anyone who likes sweet oriental florals with real depth.
