The opening pairs raspberry with pomelo, a tart fruit against a bitter, grapefruit-like citrus, with pink pepper adding a bright, tingling spice. A general floral accord gives the heart a soft, pretty middle. Praline brings the gourmand element, a nutty, caramel sweetness that becomes more noticeable as it settles. The base is cedar, Himalayan cedar and cypress, so the finish is dry and woody rather than sugary, which is what keeps the praline in check.
