Nordic Fougère from Alfred Dunhill, released in 2022 and composed by Jérôme Epinette and Michel Almairac, is a spicy, green fougère for men. Spice leads, with green and woody sides strong behind and lighter floral, aromatic and citrus touches.
Kumquat opens with a tart, juicy citrus brightness, and black pepper and cardamom add a cool, tingling spice. The heart turns green: bamboo and bamboo leaf give a crisp, watery, leafy freshness, basil a herbal note and geranium a soft rosy-green floral tone. In the base, sandalwood and patchouli bring a smooth, earthy woodiness, softened by a touch of vanilla.
This is a fresh, outdoorsy scent with clean lines, well suited to spring and autumn, daytime and office wear. The vanilla and woods give it enough warmth for cooler days. It will appeal to men who enjoy modern green fougères with a peppery lift.
