Bright citrus is the core of Desire Blue, a 2002 men's fragrance from Alfred Dunhill composed by Philippe Romano. Around that sunny centre sit hints of fruit, flowers, fresh marine air and a soft, slightly sweet woody base.

The opening is sparkling and fruity: mandarin and bergamot give zest, while lychee and lotus add a watery, faintly exotic sweetness. In the heart, orange keeps the citrus going, sea notes bring a breezy, aquatic feel and Brazilian rosewood lends a gentle woody tone. The drydown is warmer than the start suggests, with benzoin and tonka adding a vanilla-like softness and amber and musk giving it a clean, skin-close finish.
