The opening combines saffron and nutmeg, a warm, slightly leathery and slightly nutty spice pairing, with lavender adding a clean, aromatic lift that keeps the start from being too heavy. The heart is agarwood, bringing a deep, resinous, faintly medicinal woodiness, softened by sweet notes that round off its sharper edges. The base is musk and patchouli, the musk smoothing the drydown and the patchouli adding an earthy, slightly dark depth.
