9 PM Rebel is a sweet, caramel-led gourmand with a woody backbone, released by Afnan in 2024 and composed by Gaël Montero. Everyone who describes it reaches for the word gourmand; about half also call it woody, with green, musky, amber and citrus shades noted by a minority.
It opens on fruit: pineapple and Granny Smith apple bring a tart, juicy brightness, and mandarin adds a soft citrus glow. The heart turns darker and drier, with oakmoss and cedar giving a forest-floor earthiness while vanilla starts to sweeten things. The base is where the gourmand side takes over, as caramel, ambergris, musk and dry wood settle into a warm, sugary, slightly salty finish.
Most wearers find it long lasting, and a large majority report a strong trail, so a little goes a long way. It is voted for autumn and winter in equal measure, and splits almost evenly between day and night. Worn by anyone, it suits cold-weather evenings and occasions where being noticed is the point.
