Iaia

Iaia, created for Zeromolecole by Stefania Marzufero Boni in 2010, is a purely gourmand fragrance that smells of red fruit and caramel. Nobody who describes it reaches for anything other than gourmand, which says a great deal about how single-minded it is.

There are only three named notes, and each has a clear role. Raspberry brings a tart, juicy, slightly jammy brightness. Strawberry, described here as a big strawberry, adds a riper, sweeter and rounder fruitiness that feels almost like a sweet shop. Caramel then pulls the two together with a warm, buttery, toffee-like sweetness, so the impression over time moves from fresh-picked berries towards something closer to a fruit dessert or a caramel-dipped sweet.

It is unisex and clearly meant for people who enjoy playful, edible scents without pretension. The bright fruit suits casual daytime wear and warmer days, while the caramel gives it a cosy side for cooler weather.
