Baz Cuir

Baz Cuir, a 2024 release from The Spirit of Dubai, is mainly woody, with spicy, floral and citrus sides of equal strength and smaller resinous and amber touches.

Cuir means leather in French, and leather runs through the composition. The opening is bright: yuzu and bergamot give a fresh citrus sparkle, and apple a crisp sweetness. Cinnamon and saffron bring warm spice. The heart is floral, with osmanthus giving an apricot-like, slightly leathery floral note. The base is rich and smoky: leather adds smooth warmth, incense and myrrh a dry, balsamic smoke, and guaiac wood a deep, smoky woody frame.
