Ag is a 2017 men's fragrance from the British brand Ted Baker, woody first and foremost: everyone who describes it uses that word, and about half also find it musky, fresh, ambery, leathery and citrusy.
Bergamot and pepper give a crisp, slightly spicy opening, and eucalyptus adds a cool, medicinal freshness that is unusual and clean. Violet leaf keeps the heart green and a little metallic. The base is dry and warm: cedar for pencil-shaving woodiness, patchouli for earth, leather for a smooth, slightly smoky depth, and musk and amber to soften the finish.
The fresh-woody balance makes it an easy everyday masculine scent, suited to daytime, the office and spring or autumn weather. It should appeal to men who want something clean and modern with a leathery drydown rather than a sweet one.
