The opening is lively: Italian mandarin for juicy citrus, wild strawberry for a small, sweet fruit note, and a dash of rum that adds a boozy warmth and keeps the fruit from feeling childish. The heart is a full bouquet, with Damask rose at the centre, gardenia and honeysuckle adding creamy and nectar-like white-floral notes, mimosa a soft powdery sweetness and osmanthus a faint apricot tone. Vanilla and sandalwood give the base a smooth, warm sweetness, and musk pulls it close to the skin.
It is a friendly, feminine scent that works in daytime and into the evening, and its mix of fruit, flowers and vanilla suits the warmer half of the year as well as mild autumn days. Fans of rose-and-strawberry florals will take to it quickly.
