It opens with nutmeg, black pepper and saffron, giving a warm, dry and leathery spice, with bergamot adding a short citrus lift. The heart is woody and balsamic: gurjun balsam brings a resinous, slightly sweet woodiness, sandalwood a creamy smoothness and patchouli an earthy depth.
