No Limit$ Super Fre$h, released by Philipp Plein Parfums in 2021 and composed by Alberto Morillas, is a sweet, woody, spicy fragrance despite its name. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand and woody, most also find it spicy, and around four in ten pick up fresh or citrus sides.
The note list is long. The fresh side comes from grapefruit, bergamot, sea water and sea notes, with lavender and artemisia adding an aromatic, slightly bitter herbal edge. Spice arrives through black pepper, ginger and cardamom. The sweetness is built on Bourbon vanilla, white chocolate and black fig, a rich, creamy, slightly jammy accord, with black currant adding a tart fruitiness. Cedar, sandalwood, papyrus and patchouli form a dry woody base, and leather, amber and musk round it off.
It is positioned for men. Despite the fresh opening, the sweet woody heart suggests evenings and cooler months rather than a hot afternoon.
