Evros

Evros from the Italian house Olfattology, released in 2021, is a rich rose with oud, fruit and resin around it. Floral is the word everyone uses; about four in ten also find it gourmand, woody or ambery, and a smaller group musky or citrusy.

Bigarade and neroli give the opening a bright, slightly bitter orange brightness, and raspberry a dark, jammy fruitiness. The heart is rose in several forms, Moroccan and Turkish together, full, slightly honeyed and a little spicy, with ylang-ylang adding a creamy, heady sweetness. Agarwood brings a dark, smoky woodiness, incense a dry, church-like smoke, and cypriol an earthy, leathery depth. Vanilla and tolu balsam give the base a warm, resinous sweetness, patchouli an earthy foundation, and musk a soft, lasting finish.
