Philos Pura

Philos Pura by Maison Alhambra, released in 2022, is a sweet citrus musk. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand; three quarters also find it citrusy, about half musky, and a quarter ambery.

The opening is bright and juicy: bergamot, lemon and orange give a clean citrus sparkle, and unspecified fruity notes add a soft, sweet ripeness around them. There is no real floral stage; the scent moves fairly directly from citrus into its base, where Madagascar vanilla brings a warm, creamy sweetness and amber adds a gentle, resinous glow.
