Anarch

Anarch is a soft floral gourmand from Maison Alhambra, released in 2021 and worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, most add gourmand, two thirds woody, about half green, and a minority amber or citrus.

With more than twenty listed notes, the picture is best drawn in broad strokes. Bergamot, violet leaf and grass give a brief, green, dewy opening, and peach and pear blossom add a gentle fruitiness. The heart is a creamy white bouquet of jasmine, ylang-ylang, lily and damask rose, powdered with heliotrope. Underneath, coconut, vanilla, tonka bean and sugar bring a soft, almond-like sweetness, while ebony and cashmere woods and amber keep the base smooth and warm.
