Daimo

Daimo is a Lubin fragrance released in 2019 and credited to Edmond Roudnitska, Thomas Fontaine and Delphine Thierry. Everyone who describes it calls it spicy, green, woody and citrus at once, and about half add amber and leather.

Bergamot and lemon open it with a bright citrus, and violet leaf gives a cool, green, slightly metallic sharpness, the smell of crushed leaves rather than flowers. Peach adds a soft, velvety fruitiness in the middle. Clove is the spice, warm, dry and slightly medicinal, and it leads into the base: leather, smooth and faintly smoky, patchouli earthy, sandalwood creamy, and amber adding a resinous warmth that rounds off the sharper elements.

It is worn by anyone. The green-leather character suits autumn and spring and daytime or evening wear, and a person who likes classic, slightly austere French perfumery, green and leathery rather than sweet, with a little fruit to soften it.
