The sea is the opening idea: sea water and sea notes bring a cool, clean, slightly salty air. Lavender and sage give the aromatic side, lavender clean and faintly sweet, sage drier and more herbal, and together they lend the familiar barbershop freshness. A caviar note adds a saline, mineral touch that reinforces the salt-water feel. The base is dry and warm rather than sweet: vetiver brings a grassy, rooty woodiness, and amberwood a smooth, slightly ambery wood that gives the fragrance a bit of weight on the skin.
