A green scent with a warm amber base, Once Upon A Garden was released by La Perla in 2021 and composed by Caroline Dumur. It is made for anyone to wear. Everyone describes it as green, two thirds as ambery, and a third find it spicy, woody, aromatic or citrusy.
Mint and mandarin orange open it cold and bright, with pink pepper adding a light fizz. Raspberry and raspberry leaf follow, the fruit tart rather than sweet and the leaf adding a green, slightly bitter bite. Sweet pea and rose give the heart a soft, airy floralness. Underneath, oakmoss and moss bring a damp, forest greenness, patchouli adds earth, and Ambertonic, an IFF material, supplies a dry, radiant amber warmth that holds the garden notes together.
