The notes are listed together, with patchouli at the centre: earthy, slightly damp and woody, with a faint chocolate-like sweetness. Cedar gives a dry, pencil-like structure, and sandalwood a creamy, smooth wood. The sweetness that most people notice comes from vanilla and tonka bean, which add a soft, almond-vanilla warmth, while benzoin brings a balmy, resinous glow. Amber and musk round off the base with a smooth, skin-close finish.
