Cherry Lust

Cherry Lust is a dark, sweet cherry gourmand from Flavia, released in 2023 and worn by anyone. Gourmand is how everyone describes it, more than half also find it woody, and a good share notice flowers, with spice and amber mentioned by a few.

Sour cherry and bitter almond open it together, the cherry tart and slightly boozy, the almond giving a marzipan-like, faintly bitter sweetness, a pairing that smells like cherry liqueur and cake at once. The heart deepens the fruit with plum, dark and syrupy, and adds flowers and spice: Turkish rose for a jammy warmth, jasmine sambac for a creamy, heady richness, and cloves for a hot, medicinal spice that cuts through the sweetness. The base is warm and smooth, with tonka bean and vanilla giving a thick, almond-tinged sweetness, Peru balsam a resinous, cinnamon-like warmth, sandalwood a creamy wood, and vetiver and patchouli a dry, earthy anchor.

It is a cold-weather, evening scent, worn by anyone who likes boozy cherry and almond with a spiced, woody finish.
