The name means oud and black rose, and the scent pairs the two directly. Black currant brings a tart, dark berry fruitiness at the start, and cloves add a warm, slightly medicinal spice. Rose then forms the heart, deep and velvety, with geranium giving it a green, slightly minty edge. The base is darker: agarwood, or oud, adds a smoky, resinous woodiness, incense a dry, churchy smoke, patchouli an earthy depth, and Amberwood a warm, radiant amber, while musk smooths the finish.
