Velvet Blue Musk

Velvet Blue Musk, created by Mathilde Bijaoui for Dolce&Gabbana in 2023 and worn by anyone, is a spicy, woody musk with a rosy heart. Spice leads, woods are strong, about half of people notice flowers, and a minority mention sweetness and musk.

Saffron, cumin and cardamom open with a warm, leathery and slightly savoury spice, the cumin adding a skin-like warmth and the cardamom a cool, aromatic lift. The heart brings sandalwood, cypriol and Damask rose: sandalwood creamy and smooth, cypriol dark, smoky and earthy, and rose velvety and rich, a combination that gives the scent depth and softness at once. The base combines musk, tonka bean and cedar, a clean, almond-sweet and dry woody finish that lingers close to the skin.
