Purple Stain from the Korean brand BORNTOSTANDOUT®, created by Jordi Fernández in 2025, is spicy and woody in equal measure. About half of those who describe it note sweetness and citrus, and smaller groups flowers and resin.
Mandarin orange and bergamot open brightly, quickly met by cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and saffron for a warm, golden spice. Orange blossom adds a soft floral touch. Then comes the unusual part: a concrete note gives a cool, mineral, dusty dryness, and bark a rough woody texture. The base is dark and rich, with agarwood and akigalawood for smoky oud, cypriol and patchouli for earthy depth, and caramel, vanilla, Peru balsam and labdanum for a sticky, resinous sweetness.
Purple Stain is shared and can be worn by anyone. It suits autumn and winter evenings, and should please people who like spicy oud blends with an urban, mineral twist.
