Oro 1920, from the Italian house Bois 1920, is a 2013 floral fragrance with sweet and woody sides noticed by most people, and smaller groups finding spice, resin and amber.
Raspberry and ginger give a bright, juicy and zesty opening. The heart is rose and May rose, soft and rich, with iris adding a cool, powdery elegance. Beeswax brings a warm, honeyed, slightly waxy sweetness that gives the scent its golden feel, in keeping with the name. The base is darker: tobacco and leather add a dry, smooth warmth, incense and benzoin a soft resin, guaiac wood and fir a smoky, resinous wood, and vanilla a creamy finish.
Oro 1920 is shared and can be worn by anyone. It suits autumn and winter, evenings and special occasions, and should please people who enjoy rich, honeyed roses with a leathery, resinous depth.
