Bergamot, including Sicilian bergamot, gives a bright, sparkling opening, while lavender adds a clean, herbal note and saffron a warm, leathery spice. In the heart, neroli brings a fresh, green orange-blossom tone, rose a velvety petal note and heliotrope a powdery, almond-like sweetness. The base is warm and earthy: rock rose adds a resinous, ambery depth, patchouli, including Indonesian patchouli leaf, an earthy richness, sandalwood a creamy woodiness, and sugar with amber a soft sweetness.
